Mr Frye, from the Committee on Manufactures, to which was referred the petition of Samuel and Edward Smith, made a report asking to be discharged from the further consideration thereof and recommending the reference of the same to the Committee on the Judiciary - read and accepted. Sent down for concurrence. Concurred.

The Senate, on motion of Mr. Jewett, reconsider their votes whereby they passed to be engrossed "Bill to incorporate the proprietors of the St. Franklin [?] House" and also "Bill to incorporate the Penobscot Mill and Manufacturing Company," and severally amend said Bills and order the same to be reengrossed, of which the House were informed by message and their concurrence requested. Concurred.

The Senate, on motion of the same gentleman reconsider their votes whereby they finally passed and passed to be engrossed "Resolve in favor of Enoch Cordwell" and amend the same and order the said Resolve to be reengrossed as amended; of which the House were informed by message and their concurrence requested. Concurred.

On motion of Mr. Clark, the Senate reconsider their votes whereby they passed to be enacted and passed to be engrossed the "Bill to incorporate the Eastport Manufacturing Company" and amend the same by striking out in the 4th line of the 1st sec. the words, "John L. Peavey" and inserting in lieu thereof the words, John J. Peavey, and
