432 Thursday March 24, 1836

The Senate, on motion of Mr Kelsey, reconsider the vote of yesterday whereby they accepted the report referring to next Legislature the petition of Asa Clark and others, and recommit the same.

 Sent down for concurrence.

Bill to change the name of Milburn in new draft was read once and this afternoon at three oclock assigned for a second reading.

Bill additional to increase the tax on Banks was taken up and referred to the next Legislature

Bill to change the name of Bloomfield reported in the House by the Joint Select Committee to which was referred the petition of Eleazer Coburn and others, Resolve authorizing the Board of Internal Improvements to commence a Geological Survey of the State reported in the House by the Joint Select Committee on so much of the Governors message as relates to that subject providing for Clerkhire in the Adjutant Generals Officer reported by the Committee on the Militia to which said Bill had been recommitted severally read once and tomorrow at ten oclock assigned for a second reading.

Bill prohibiting arrests and holding Courts to try civil causes on the fourth day of July on the day of elections, trainings and reviews, to incorporate the Eden Granite Company as amended for the further regulation of the State Prison
