An additional Resolve relating to the Blind (introduced in the House) read once and referred to the Joint Select Committee on the subject of the Insane Hospital, in concurrence.

Resolve providing for the payment of Clerk hires in the Adjutant General's Office came up from the House recommitted to the Committee on the Militia with instructions to report a statement of facts including the amount paid the Adjutant General yearly since 1824 -- read and referred in concurrence.

Bill to increase the Capital Stock of Augusta Bank was taken up -- and the question of passing the same to be engrossed was decided in the negative as follows, to wit;

Yeas, Messrs Benson, Clark Jarvis, McIntire, Severance and Talbot ---- 6. Nays, Messrs Allen, Fish, Frye, Greene, Jewett, Johnson, Kelsey, Latham, Manter, Merrow, Miller, Pierce, Purington, Staples, Strickland and Swift ---- 16.
