Saturday, April 2, 1836.

On motion of Purrington Ordered, that when the Senate next adjourn without day, and that a message be sent to the House requesting its concurrence --- Which message was delivered by the Secretary.

A message was received that the House nonconcurred with the Senate in their proposition to adjourn without day.

On motion of Mr. Jewett, the order relative to messages was taken up and indefinitely postponed. Sent down for concurrence.

Mr. Clark, from the Committee on Rail Roads and Canals, reported reference to next Legislature on petition of Isaac Merrill and others - and asked to be discharged from any further duties during the present session - read and accepted. Sent down for concurrence. Concurred.

Resolve relating to Bank Commissioners (introduced in the House was read twice and indefinitely postponed. Sent down for concurrence.

Resolve relating to the election of President and Vice President (introduced in the House) was read the second time and amended; and the question of passing the same to be engrossed, being ordered to be taken by yeas and nays, was decided in the affirmative as follows, to wit: Yeas. Messrs. Clark, Fish, Greene, Jarvis, Jewett, Kelsey, Mantor, Merrow, Pierce, Strickland, Swift and Weeks 12. Nays. Messrs. Benson and Severance ______ 2
