110 October 27th

  It quit raining this morning and the weather cleared off cold and windy and plenty of mud. but the mud will soon dry up if it hold's cold and windy as it is to day. Nothing of eny importance has taken place to day. some of the Regiments and Brigades have been moving yesterday and to day. General Porter talks of moving his Headquarters to morrow and of relieving us. So we can go to our Regiment. 
  Indeed I hope it will be so.

October 28th

  This morning was quite cool. There was a heavy frost last night and the ground froze quite hard the nights are gitting to be very cool. I slept very cold last night. General Porter has not moved to day but will possibly move to morrow.

October 29th

  It is rather pleasant this morning I was in Camp all day. did not feel very well and did not do eny duty during the day Nothing of eny consequence has taken place. we are still near Sharpsburg but expect to move every day.

October 30th

  General Porter moved his Headquarters to day down to Harper's Ferry. we was relieved from being Porters Ordiles but we are not going to join our Regement. we have got to report to General Gordon as Ordiles So now we shall be under General Banks again.
