Dear Sir

I herewith send you a statement of all the State and County taxes which have been required from Plantation No. 2 west side the river up to 1819 in which year it appears there was neither State nor County tax as follows viz

The inhabitants of the Plantation have voted and assessed five hundred dollars of highway taxes in addition to the above [?] State & County taxes, and have proceeded to sell & have sold about seventeen thousand acres of the land to pay State and County taxes only; and they intend to put the highway tax into the money tax of this year
