Being totally unable to labour for my support not having performed a days labour for five years past I now with my wife live in the family of Fayette Knowles and am wholly supported by his charity- notwithstanding my service was proved for one year only it is a fact which I hold myself ready to prove whenever required that I actually served in the Revolutionary War from 1775 until 1783 when I was honorably discharged at Newburg in the State of New York on the seventh day of June from Capt.
