[Resignation of John Chandler as President of Senate - received.] A Letter was received [struck through: "and read"] from John Chandler Esqr notifying the Legislature of his having resigned his seat at the Senate board of this State, in consequence of having accepted a Seat in the Senate of the United States. In Senate June 19 1820. Read & sent down. Read and sent up.

[Bill relating to the punishment of Convicts] Bill from the Senate, entitled "an act relating to the punishment of Convicts" Read once & thursday at 10 o clock assigned for a 2nd reading & 200 copies ordered to be printed.

[Bill relating to the collection of County Taxes &c] Bill from the Senate entitled "an Act relating to the collection of County taxes in the Counties of Somerset, Oxford, Hancock, Penobscot & Washington" Read once and tomorrow at 12 o clock assigned for a second reading.

[Bill for the establishment of a S.J. Court &c] Bill from the Senate entitled "an act for the establishment of a Supreme Judicial Court within this State" Read once and tomorrow at 11 o clock assigned for a second reading and in the meantime it is committed to Messrs Reed of Waldoborough, Currier of Readfield and Dennet of Kittery.
