[Notice to Senator elected in Convention.]

On motion ordered that the Secretary of State be directed to notify Edward Killeran Esq. of his election by both Houses of the Legislature to a seat in the Senate of this State agreeably to a provision of the Constitution; and to request his immediate attendance to aid the Senate in the discharge of their public duties. - Read, passed and sent down for concurrence, and came up concurred. -

On motion ordered that the Secretary of the Senate notify Amos Nichols Esq. that he has been duly elected by both Houses of the Legislature in Convention, Secretary of State for the current year. -

[Report of the Committee to wait on the Governor]

The committee of both Houses, appointed to wait upon the Hon. Albion K. Parris and inform him that he has been duly elected Governor of the State of Maine agreeably to the provisions of the Constitution; and that the Senate and House of Representatives will convene in the Representatives' Chamber to qualify him for the office whenever it may be convenient for him to attend. - Reported that they had performed the duty assigned them, and that the Governor was pleased to say that he would wait upon both Houses of the Legislature in the convention for the purpose above specified, forthwith: -
