Senate January, 14th, 1823. -
The following petitions committed in the House to the Joint Standing committee on Incorporation of Parishes & other religious Societies, ministerial & school lands, came up for concurrence, viz. -
Petition of Jonathan Brown & others to be exempted from paying taxes. -

" of Selectmen of the town of Temple for authority to sell ministerial and school lands. -
[Isaac G. Reed et als]
" of Isaac G. Reed & others for the Incorporation of St. George's Lodge. - and
[Jere Stinchfield & als]
" of Jeremiah Stinchfield & others for the Incorporation of Maine Lodge; and they were severally read and committed to the same committee in concurrence with the House. -
[Committee on promulgation & distribution of the Laws]
On motion of Mr. McDonald, Ordered that Messrs McDonald and Whitney, with such as the House may join, be a committee to consider what method shall be adopted to provide for the promulgation and distribution of the laws of the State, with leave to report by Bill or otherwise: sent down for concurrence. - came up concurred, and Messrs Bodwell, Parker and Merrill were joined. -
