Know ye, That William D. Williamson, Esquire, on the tenth day of September, in the year of our Lord, one thousand eight hundred and twenty one, was chosen by the People of this State, legally qualified therefor, a Representative, to represent them in the Congress of the United States of America, for the term by the Constitution of the said United States expressed, commencing the fourth day of March, 1821, at the time and places, and in the manner of holding elections, prescribed by our Legislature, agreeably to the powers therein vested by the Constitution aforesaid.
In testimony whereof, I have caused the Seal of the State to be hereunto affixed. Given under my hand, at Portland, the fifth day of December, in the year of our Lord, one thousand eight hundred and twenty one; and in the forty sixth year of the Independence of the United States of America.
