State of Maine.

To all persons to whom these presents shall come,

Greeting:

Whereas, before the Supreme Judicial Court of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, begun and holden Augusta, within the County of Kennebec, and for the Counties of Kennebec and Somerset, on the first Tuesday of June, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and nineteen, Fitch Woods, of Belgrade, in our said County of Kennebec, yeoman, was convicted of the Crime of fraudulently obtaining a certain Lease, by means of a false, forged and counterfeit order; and thereupon by our said Court was sentenced to pay a fine to the use of said Commonwealth of forty dollars, and costs of prosecution; which sentence has been fulfilled; and he the said Fitch Woods, has humbly supplicated Us for mercy:

Now Know Ye, that, upon full consideration of the premises, We do hereby grant to him the said Fitch woods, a full and free Pardon of the Crime aforesaid; of which all our Judges, Justices, Magistrates, and officers of every denomination are to take notice.

Witness, Albion K. Parris, our Governor, with the advice and consent of our Council, and our Seal hereunto affixed at Portland, the tenth day of February, in the year of our Lord, one thousand eight hundred and twenty five; and in the forty ninth year of the Independence of the United States of America.
