State of Maine.

To the Executive Authority of the State of New Hampshire, or of Vermont.

The undersigned Governor of the State of Maine, represents, that Luther Richardson, late resident of Portland in the County of Cumberland, Esquire, charged with the crime of Forgery, as appears by the papers hereunto annexed, is a Fugative [Fugitive] from Justice, and now in the State of New Hampshire or Vermont.

you are therefore requested to cause the said Luther Richardson to be delivered to John Barker, who is hereby appointed to receive him, that he may be brought into this State and dealt with according to Law.

In testimony whereof, I have caused the Seal of this State to be hereunto affixed, the twenty fifth day of June in the year of our Lord, one thousand eight hundred and twenty eight, and in the fifty second year of the Independence of the United States of America
