[Committee — relief of Poor debtors &c] On motion of Mr Williams of Augusta Ordered, That Messrs Williams of Augusta, Dunlap of Brunswick & Pond of Bucksport be a committee to enquire what provision, if any, ought to be made for the relief of poor debtors and establishing prison yards in this State & that the papers reported by the Board of Jurisprudence to the last Legislature pass into the hands of said Committee — read and passed.

[Committee - repairing state road from north line of Brigham tract to Canad -] Ordered, that the joint committee on public lands be instructed to consider the expediency of providing by law for repairing the state road from the north line of Binghams Kennebec tract northerly to the province of Lower Canada, with leave to report by bill or otherwise - read & passed.
