[Hon. Lothrop Lewis declared entitled to his seat.] Ordered, that Lothrop Lewis Esq the member returned from the town of Gorham does not hold under the authority of this State any civil office of profit, that disqualifies him from retaining his seat in this House — The report was accepted and the order passed.

[Committee - to enquire into the operation of the Law respecting payment of monies into State & County Treasuries] On motion of Mr Gardiner of Gardiner, Ordered, that Messrs Gardiner of Gardiner Elden of Buxton and Little of Windham be a committee to enquire into the operation of the present laws respecting the payment of monies into the State and County Treasuries with leave to report by bill or otherwise — read and passed.

[Remonstrance - Jont Morgan] Remonstrance of Jonathan Morgan against the petition of Seward Porter committed in Senate to the committee on Turnpikes, Bridges and Canals, came down for concurrence — and the House concurred in the commitment.
