and when the Legislature may have a recess report the following subjects as necessary to be acted upon viz. "The apportionment of Senators and Representatives" - "The Tax Act" - "The Militia Law" The Probate Law" "The Fee Bill" "The Pauper Law" The Poor Debtor Law" and the School Bill: and further report that the Legislature may have a recess on Saturday next. In Senate March 5th 1821. Read and accepted. Sent down for concurrence Read and concurred.

[James McLellan chosen - ]

Agreeably to assignment the House proceeded by ballot to the choice of a Major General for the Fourth Division, to fill the vacancy occasioned by the resignation of Major General McCobb: on receiving sorting, counting & declaring the ballots it appeared the whole number given in was 117 necessary to a choice 59 James McLellan, Esqr of Bath had 77 and is declared chosen on the part of the House. Sent up for concurrence in the election of James McLellan as Major General for the 4th Division.
