The House resumed the consideration of the Report of the Committee on the apportionment of Representation on the Counties within this State, as amended, and after considerable debate rejected the amendments, and accepted the report as originally made.

[Resolve - apportioning Representatives &c]

Resolve apportioning the Representatives on the several Counties on the first apportionment as follows viz York 23. Cumberland 25 Lincoln 27, Penobscot 6 Washington 6 Somerset 11 Kennebec 22 Oxford 14 & Hancock 16. Read & passed to be engrossed. Sent up for concurrence

[Rep - on Report of Committee to negotiate for purchase of public lands with Massts. -]

Committee to whom was referred the Report of the Committee appointed by the Legislature of this State by Resolve of 29th of January last to meet a Committee to be appointed by the Legislature of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts with full powers to negotiate in behalf of this State for the purchase of the lands within this State belonging to said Commonwealth - Report Resolves. In Senate March 8th 1821 Read and accepted. Sent down for concurrence Read and concurred.

Resolves ratifying and confirming the agreement entered into between this State & Massachusetts made by their Commissioners: and authorizing
