[Committee to revise the general manufacturing law-]

On motion of Mr Prime, Ordered that Messrs Prime, Wallingford, Parker of Gardiner, Clark & Emerson be a Committee for the purpose of amending or revising the general Manufacturing Law of this State with leave to report by bill or otherwise - Read & passed.

[Petition - William Stinson & als]

Petition of William Stinson and others that James M Rogers may be removed from all the offices civil & military which he holds in this State &c - was, read & referred to Messrs Fuller, Purrington of Bowdoin & Cobb with such as the Senate may join. Sent up for concurrence.

[Bill - Portland Steam Boat Navigation Company -]

Bill, additional to an act to incorporate the Portland Steam Boat Navigation Company, was called up & postponed for consideration at 10 oclock on Friday next.

[addition to Committee on Literature &c]

Messrs McCrillis & Grose were added to the Committee on so much of the Governors Message as relates to the encouragement of Literature & the Clerk communicated information thereof to the Senate.
