[Report of committee to locate Seat of Government inform of Augusta.]

8th of February last authorizing & directing them to visit such towns as they might deem proper and designate some central & suitable place at which the seat of Government may be permanently fixed and established & ascertain the terms upon which a convenient lot for the accommodation of the State can be obtained, designating the town of Augusta, came from the Senate & was on motion referred to Messrs Prime, Wilkins, of N.C. Merrill, Crowell of Whitfield [Whitefield], Pike, Adams of C. - Leach of V. Chase of L. & Finson of Hartland.

[Report Brunswick Academy]

Bill to incorporate the Trustees of Brunswick Academy was read a 3d time & passed to be engrossed. Sent up for concurrence.

[Bill - districting for members of Congress]

Bill from the Senate, "to divide the State into Districts for the choice of Representatives to Congress and prescribing the mode of election" was read 1st time and referred to Messrs Williams, McIntire, Quinnam, Dunlap, Hutchins of N.P. Holland, Allen, Whitney & Stockwell & Tuesday next at 11 oclock assigned for a second reading.

Adjourned until nine oclock tomorrow morning.
