[Resolve - location of Courts in York County -]

Agreeably to notice given, Mr Hammond moved a reconsideration of the vote passing the Resolve "relating to the location of the Courts in the County of York, which motion prevailed - The Resolve was then amended at P. and passed to be engrossed. Sent up for concurrence.

Petition of Robert Parker & others of Washington County for the erection of a jail at Eastport, was read & referred to the Committee on New trials. Sent up for concurrence.

[Brig Genl Dwelly Turner elected Majr General on part of House]

Agreeably to assignment the House proceeded on their part to the choice of a Major General for the 4th Division of the Militia of this State - the whole number of votes given was 118 - necessary to a choice 60 - Brig. General Dwelly Turner, having 117 was declared chosen on the part of the House in concurrence with the Senate. The Clerk was charged with a message to acquaint the Senate therewith.
