[Committee appointed to hear James M Rogers - in his defense -]

An order came from the Senate for concurrence, appointing Messrs McDonald & Bond with as the House may join a committee to hear the answer of James M Rogers of Bowdoinham in the County of Lincoln, to the causes assigned for his removal from every civil and military office he holds under this State, with power to send for all persons & papers which may be necessary - and the House concurred & and Messrs Abbot, Dunlap & Pike were joined.

[Bill - Congregational fund in Kennebunkport -]

Bill to incorporate the Trustees of the Congregational fund for the support of the Gospel in Kennebunkport, was read a 1st, 2d & 3d time & passed to be engrossed. Sent up for concurrence.

[Report - James M Rogers case again -]

The Report of the Committee on petition of William Stinson & others for the removal of James M Rogers &c which was accepted this forenoon in concurrence, came from the Senate with an amendment at A for concurrence - and the House concurred.

[Bill - additional respecting Lotteries]

Bill additional to an act for the prevention of Lotteries not authorized by Law & to prohibit the sale or purchase of tickets in this State, came from the Senate amended at A for concurrence - & the House concurred & further amended the Bill by striking out the second section.
