candidates to fill the vacancy in the county of York, was one hundred and forty six, of which seventy four went necessary to constitute a choice, and Josiah W. Seaver Esquire having one hundred and fifteen was declared to be duly chosen, to fill that vacancy.

the whole number of votes for the candidates to fill the vacancy in the county of Cumberland was one hundred and forty seven, of which seventy four were necessary to constitute a choice, and William Buxton Esquire having ninety votes was declared to be duly chosen to fill that vacancy:

the whole number of votes for the candidates to fill the vacancy in the county of Somerset was one hundred and forty seven, of which seventy four were necessary to constitute a choice, and Wentworth Tuttle esquire having ninety three votes was declared to be duly chosen to fill that vacancy:

the whole number of votes for the candidates to fill the vacancy in the county of Penobscot was one hundred and thirty three, of which Isaac Case Esquire had ninety nine, and was declared to be duly chosen to fill that vacancy.

The business of the convention being thus completed, the two branches of the Legislature separated.

[Notice to the Senators elected in convention] On motion by Mr. McDonald, ordered that the Secretary of State be directed to notify Josiah W. Seaver, William Buxton, Wentworth Tuttle and Isaac Case, esquires that they have been elected by the two branches of the Legislature agreeable to the provisions of the Constitution. Senators of said State, and to request their immediate attendance to aid the Senate in the discharge of their official duties.

Ordered that tomorrow at half past three o'clock be assigned for the choice of a Chaplain to the Senate.
