[Petitions committed to committee on Incorporation of Towns.] The following petitions were read in the House and committed to the joint standing committee on Incorporation of towns, and came up for concurrence – to wit
of Samuel Davis of Harrington, praying to be set off with his polls and estate to the town of Steuben –
of Inhabitants of town of Industry praying that a gore of land may be set off from the town of Industry, together with the inhabitants on said gore, and annexed to town of Monroe –
of Inhabitants of part of Vinal Haven to be incorporated by the name of North –
of Levi Stevens and others, inhabitants of part of Phillips and Freeman to be incorporated into a town by the name of New Salem –
of plantation No. 5 in the second range to be incorporated into a town by the name of Wellington –
of the town of Gerry praying for a change of name of that town to Lima, – and
of eastern half of plantation No. 8 and western half of plantation No. 9 to be incorporated into a town by name of Franklin –
and they were severally read and committed to the joint standing committee on Incorporation of Towns, in concurrence with the House:
