[Committee on printing] Order of the House that the Committee appointed by both Houses to contract for printing for the State be instructed to report to the House before contracting with any persons, was read and passed in concurrence with the House.

[Committee on Literary Institutions] Ordered that so much of the Governor's message as relates to the Literary Institutions at Brunswick and Waterville be referred to Messrs. Seaver and Bond with such as the House may join, with leave to report by bill or otherwise. Sent down for concurrence, came up concurred and Messrs. Williams, Clap and Scamman were joined on the part of the Senate. #House

[Petition of Bowdoin College] The Petition of William Allen and Benjamin Orr a committee of Bowdoin College praying for further aid was read and committed to the joint committee on so much of the Governor's message as relates to the Literary Institutions at Brunswick & Waterville. [Report on petition of Timothy White - Notice] Mr. Bond from the Committee on new trials, to whom was referred the petition of Timothy White reported that the petitioner cause an attested copy of his petition and the order thereon to be published in the American Advocate and Hallowell Gazette, newspapers printed in Hallowell two weeks successively, to the end persons interested may appear and show cause at the Legislature, if any they have why the prayer of the petitioner should not be granted. Read and accepted. Sent down for concurrence, came up concurred.
