[Reports of Committee on Parishes etc. & leave to bring in Bills] The Joint Standing Committee on Incorporation of Parishes and other religious Societies and ministerial and school lands reported that leave to bring in bills be granted to the following petitioners to wit. [Report of do. orders of Notices.] The same committee also reported on the petition of James Ricker and others, that petitioners cause an attested copy of their petition, with the order thereon to be served on the Town Clerk of Hartford six days before the last wednesday of January instant, to the end, persons interested may then appear before the present Legislature, and shew[show] cause if any they have why the prayer of said petition should not be granted. [Reports of Committee on Turnpikes &c. notice] Mr. Dennett from the Joint Standing Committee on Turnpikes, Bridges and Canals reported on the petition of Samuel Thompson and others, that petitioners cause an attested copy of their petition and of this order thereon to be served on the Proprietors of Mills in Searsmont sixty days before the first wednesday of the next Legislature, to the end all persons interested may then and there appear and shew[show] cause, if any they have, why the prayer of said petition should not be granted.
