[50] [1822 Jan. 10] [Report on petition of Danl. Barrett.] Mr. Dennett from the Joint standing Committee on Turnpikes, Bridges and canals reported on the Petition of Daniel Barrett that petitioner cause copy of his petition & this order thereon to be served on the town Clerk of Lincolnville and to be published three times successively in the Eastern Argus, the last publication and service to be fourteen days at least before the first monday of February next, read & accepted. Sent down for concurrence, came up concurred.

[Remonstrances committed to special committee] Orders of the House that Remonstrances of the Inhabitants of Woolwich, and of the Inhabitants of Dresden, against the petitions for a new county to be composed of Towns in Lincoln and Cumberland, be committed to committee on Incorporation of towns, were severally read and non concurred and committed to the Committee who have under consideration the Petitions of George Rogers and others on the same subject. Sent down for concurrence, came up concurred.

[Remonstrances committed to Com. on Incorp. of Towns] The following Remonstrances committed in the House to the joint standing committee on Incorporation of Towns came up for concurrence, to wit. Remonstrance of the Selectmen of Bucksport against the petition of Elijah P. Pike and others. " of Selectmen of Swanville against annexation of John McLure & others to Brooks, and " of John F. Gardiner and others of Bristol against the division of said town, and they were severally read and committed to the same Committee in concurrence with the House.
