[Resolve in favor of Wm. Norwood] Resolve in favour of William Norwood was read a 2nd time and passed to be engrossed in concurrence with the House.

[Order relative to returns of Deaf & Dumb] On motion of Mr. Dunlap, ordered that the Secretary of State transmit a Circular as soon as may be, to the Selectmen of Towns and Assessors of Plantations, who have not made returns to his office, pursuant to a Resolve of of the last Legislature to ascertain the number of deaf and dumb persons in this State, requesting them to attend to that duty forthwith. Sent down for concurrence and was concurred.

[Report on Petition] Mr. Small from the Committee on the Petition of Asa Godfrey and others, for authority to erect a boom at or near Sunkhaze on Penobscot River, report that the Petitioners cause an attested Copy of their Petition with this order thereon, to be published 3 weeks successively in the Bangor Register printed at Bangor, the last publication to be sixty days at least, before the first Wednesday of the first session of the next Legislature. Read, accepted and sent down for concurrence, and came up concurred.
