[Committee on distribution of the Laws &c] sons, Burgin and Lord, with such as the Senate may join, be a Committee to consider in what manner the Laws and Resolves which are or may be passed by the present Legislature shall be promulgated and distributed; and also to designate some Newspapers in the State, in which advertisements, notices and orders shall be printed, that are or may be by law required to be printed or published in the public Newspaper of the printer to the State. Came up for concurrence, was read and concurred, and Messrs Witham and Miller were joined.

[Bill] Bill to alter the times of holding the Court of Sessions and Court of Common Pleas in Penobscot County was read once and committed and tomorrow at 10 Oclock assigned for 2d Reading.

[Committee on punishment of Crimes] Mr. Wheeler from the Committee on an order to enquire what alterations ought to be made in the several laws relating to the punishment of crimes, reported that the subject ought to be referred to a select Committee of both Houses. Read, accepted and Messrs Dunlap and Dennett were appointed on the part of the Senate. Sent down for concurrence. Came up concurred and Messrs Williams, Abbott and Weeks were joined.

[Bills] Bill establishing a Ministerial fund in Parsonsfield, and Bill to incorporate the town of Burnham passed to be engrossed in the House, came up for concurrence, and were read once and committed, and tomorrow at 10 Oclock assigned for 2d Reading
