Resolve in favor of William Tozier,” were read once and committed, and 3 oclock P.M. assigned for a 2d. reading. -

[Committee on Compensation to the Officers of the House]

On motion of Mr. Green, Ordered that Messrs. Green and Holland with such as the House may join, be a committee to consider what compensation ought to be allowed to the several officers of the two branches of the Legislature for the present session, with leave to report by Resolve or otherwise: sent down for concurrence: concurred, and Messrs. White, Charles and Hodgman were joined. -

Bill imposing fines on Towns neglecting to choose Representatives,” came up, and the House insist upon their vote by which they passed the same to be engrossed, and invite a conference: Read, and the Senate insist upon their former vote, and appoint as conferees on their part Messrs. Stebbins, Parsons and Holland: and the House appoint on their part Messrs. McCobb, Goodenow and Hammond. -
