Met according to adjournment.

The House reconsidered their vote assigning today at 10 oclock to come to the choice of a Major General for 8th Division, and have assigned Thursday 27th instant at 11 oclock.

The Committee appointed on the subject of Sheriffs fees &c reported a Bill - and the report was accepted.

Bill in addition to an act establishing & regulating the fees of the several officers & other persons therein named - was read 1 & 2d time and tomorrow at 10 oclock assigned for a 3d reading.

The Committee to revise the laws respecting foreign attachment &c reported a Bill - report read & accepted.

Bill further in addition to an act concerning foreign attachment was read 1 & 2d time & tomorrow at 10 oclock assigned for a 3d reading.

Petition of Anthony Fernald & als for a repeal of the additional act respecting the inspection of Beef & Pork - was read & referred to Messrs Smith of Westbrook, Carpenter of Sebec, and Richardson of Portland.

Ordered that Messrs Richardson of Portland, Carpenter of Mexico & Eames of Lisbon be a committee to consider the expediency of passing an Act additional to the act passed March 15th 1821 respecting Houses of Correction - read & passed.

The Committee on engrossed Bills reported as duly engrossed Bill, establishing an additional term of the S. J. Court & C C Pleas for the County of Oxford & for other purposes - which was passed to be enacted. Sent up for concurrence.
