The Committee to whom was referred the question relating to the location of the Courts in York County, reported that it is inexpedient to change the place of the present sitting of the Courts & The Senate amended the report so as to provide for all the Courts to be held at Kennebunk & accepted it as so amended & sent it down for the concurrence of the House - The House assigned tomorrow at nine oclock to consider the subject.

Petition of Selectmen of Moscow to be reimbursed expenses incurred in the support of Sally Adkinson & her children, was read & referred to the Committee on Accounts. Sent up for concurrence.

Petition of the Selectmen of Moscow to have the doings of said town made valid, was read & referred to the committee on New Trials - Sent up for concurrence.

Bill to incorporate the Merchants Bank, was read 1st & 2d time and Wednesday next at 10' oclock assigned for a 3d reading.

Resolve on the petition of Selectmen of Otisfield, was read & passed to be engrossed. Sent up for concurrence.

Ordered that Messrs Carpenter of Mexico, Whittemore of Hebron & Luce of New Vineyard be a committee to enquire as to the expediency of imposing a tax on all stud horses which are or hereafter may be in this State of the age of eighteen months and over - read & passed.

Bill in addition to an act concerning Registers of Deeds, came from the Senate in a new draft for concurrence and the House passed the same to be engrossed in concurrence.

The Committee to consider if necessary to make any laws regulating taxes on lands owned in common &c - reported that it is inexpedient to make any alteration in existing provisions. The report accepted in Senate came down for concurrence, and the House concurred.
