An order came from the Senate for concurrence, directing the Committee on State Lands to enquire as to the expediency of authorizing the Land Agent of this State in conjunction with the Agent on the part of Massachusetts to quiet the settlers in their possessions on the undivided lands on the St Johns and Madawaska Rivers - & the House concurred.

Report on the petition of Joseph Williamson and als, was called up and the House so far reconsidered their votes as to refer this subject to the next Legislature. Sent up for concurrence.

Bill to apportion and assess on this State a tax of forty five thousand one hundred and six dollars & eighty four Cents, was read a 3d time amend, & passed to be engrossed. Sent up for concurrence -
