Order of the House of Representatives, that the Committee on the Judiciary, be instructed to inquire if any alterations or new provisions are necessary in the several acts now in force defining the powers and duties of Gaolers and report the same by Bill or otherwise, and

Order That the Committee on Banks and Banking, be instructed to inquire into the expediency of providing by a Resolve for the appointment by the governor and Council, of a Committee to examine the State and condition of the several Banks in the State at certain stated periods, were severally read and passed in concurrence

On motion by Mr Churchill, ordered, that Messrs Churchill and Parsons with such as the House may join be a Committee to take into consideration what compensation be allowed the Secretary and Assistant Secretary of the Senate, the Clerk and assistant Clerk of the House of Representatives the person employed to draft and copy Bills, the Chaplains of the Senate and House of Representatives, Messengers to the Governor and Council, Senate and House of Representatives, Assistant messenger and Page to the House of Representatives, Also to what allowance shall be made to the Treasurer and Secretary of State and Adjutant General, for Clerk hire in their respective offices, during the ensuing political year, with leave to report by Resolve or otherwise Sent down for concurrence, Came up concurred and Messrs Adams of P. Burr of L & Adams of C. were joined

On motion by Mr. Scamman, Ordered, that a Resolve
