The Board came to order pursuant to adjournment,

A communication was received from Joel Whitney signifying his acceptance of the office of Counsellor, to which he had been chosen, and his readiness to be qualified. read and sent down.

Petition of Jonas Clark Judge of Probate for the County of York for an increase of Salary: Petition of the Justice of the Supreme Judicial Court for an alteration in the terms of said Court, Petition of William D. Williamson Judge of Probate for the County of Penobscot for an increase of Salary

and Petition of G.F. Patten and others for the establishment of a Registry of Deeds at Topsham in the County of Lincoln were severally read, and in concurrence with the House referred to the Committee on the Judiciary,

Petition of Seth Spring and others for a revision of the law relating to Sheriffs, referred in the House to Messrs. Smith, Parcher and Pierce with such as the Senate may join was read and concurred, and Messrs Dunlap and Butman were joined.

Petition of Washington Remick of Kittery to be annexed to the town of Elliot, was read and in concurrence with the House, referred to the Committee on Incorporation of Towns.

Petition of Lina Hyde and others for the incorporation of Solar Lodge, was read, and concur
