Mr Williams from the Committee on State Lands, on the petition of Jordan Spencer and others, reported that the petitioners have leave to bring in a Resolve Read and accepted, Sent down for concurrence.

On motion by Mr. Scammon Ordered, that the Returns of votes returned to the Secretary of State, in pursuance of a Resolve submitting to the People of the County of York the two questions "is it expedient that the Judicial Courts and County Officers in that County be held in one place.' and if so," shall that be Alfred or Kennebunk?". be referred to the Committee, who have under consideration the petitions from that County of the subject of the removal of Courts, Sent down for concurrence.

Petition of Enoch Preble and others to be incorporated by the name of the Portland Nautical Society", was read and in concurrence with the House referred to the Committee on Parishes &c,

Petition of Valentine Cook for a pension was read and, in concurrence with the House, referred to the Committee on Applications form sick and wounded Soldiers.

Petition of Simeon Pease, and others of Brownfield for authority to make a Canal for the purpose of running lumber was read, and in concurrence with the House referred to the Committee on Turnpikes Bridges and Canals.

Petition of John Andres of Paris to be reimbursed expenses incurred in attending a Court Martial, was read and in concurrence with the House, referred to the Committee on Accounts.
