Mr. Green from the Committee on Incorporation of Towns, on the petition of Washington Remick reported leave for a Bill, Read and accepted. Sent down for concurrence. Came up concurred.

Petition of William B. Grant and others Petition of John Gleason and others and Petition of Samuel Ramsdell and others in favor of a Bridge across Kennebec River, between Pittston and Gardiner and Remonstrance of Upham T. Bram and others Remonstrance of Stephen Pillsbury and others Remonstrance of James McLellan and others Remonstrance of Silas Leonard and others and Remonstrance of Elijah Day and others, against the erection of a Bridge across the Kennebec at said place, were severally read and, in concurrence, with the House referred to the Committee on Turnpikes, Bridges and Canals.

On motion by Mr. Pond the "Bill to prevent Drunkenness" was taken from the files and referred to Messrs Pond and Francis with such as the House may join. Sent down for concurrence, Came up concurred and Messrs Allen, Chapman and Taylor were joined.
