Afternoon, Mr. Green, from the Committee appointed to consider what alterations may be made in the Laws relating to the support of the Poor, reported "Bill establishing work Houses in the several Counties in this State," which was read, referred to the next Legislature and ordered to be printed in the several Newspapers in this State which publish the Laws. Mr. Stebbins from the Committee on the judiciary on an order instructing that Committee on that subject reported "Resolve additional respecting forms of Returns of votes for Senators and the same was read and passed to be engrossed. Sent down for concurrence. Came up concurred,

On motion by Mr. Pond the Senate resolved itself into a Committee of the whole, on the consideration of the "Bill establishing the County of Waldo," Mr Dunlap in the chair and after remaining some time in Committee, rose, reported progress and asked leave to sit again
