Samuel Little Esquire appeared, presented his credentials was qualified and took his seat as a member from Buxton instead of Mr Pond whose seat became vacant by his acceptance of a seat at the Senate Board.

Ordered that the committee on the Judiciary be directed to enquire into the expediency of so enlarging the provisions of the several resolves authorizing the purchase & distribution of the first and second volumes of Greenleafs Reports, that towns & plantations organized since the passing of said resolves, be included and furnished with said volumes. read and passed. Sent up for concurrence

An order came from the Senate for concurrence directing the committee on the Judiciary to enquire into the expediency of repealing, so much of an act entitled an act establishing the duties to be paid by certain officers therein named, as requires each Coroner to pay a duty of three dollars – and the House concurred.
