Resolve in favor of Josiah Towle, which passed this House 2nd inst. came from the Senate amended as on sheet annexed marked A. for concurrence – The House nonconcurred and adhered to their vote passing the Resolve.

The committee of this House on the petition of David C Magoun & als, reported leave for a Bill - & the report was accepted.

Report on the petition of Thomas Merrill & als came again from the Senate, that body refusing to give the petitioners leave for a Bill in concurrence with the House - & adhering to their vote accepting said report giving leave to withdraw. The House adhere to their vote of 30th ult.

Resolve – additional to a Resolve respecting certain settlers of public lands, was read twice & passed to be engrossed in concurrence with the Senate.

Resolve in favor of the Heirs of Joseph Allen, was read twice & passed to be engrossed in concurrence with the Senate.

Resolve for the benefit of the Penobscot Indians, reported in a new draft which was adopted, was read a second time & passed to be engrossed. Sent up for concurrence.

Bill – additional to an act to regulate the taking of Salmon, Shad and Alewives in the town of Machias, was read a 3d time & passed to be engrossed as amended on sheet annexed marked A. Sent up for concurrence.

Petition of Barnabas Packard & als on the subject of revising the laws relating to the granting of licenses to Retailors [Retailers] &c, was read & referred to the committee on the Judiciary. Sent up for concurrence.
