Ordered that the committee to whom was referred a Resolve relating to the right of representation of certain towns be instructed to inquire whether the Legislature have any right at any time except when a general apportionment of representatives is made to annex any town or part of a town to any representative class other than that to which it was annexed at the time of the last apportionment – read & passed.

Petition of the Bank of Portland to be reimbursed certain sums of money lost & expended in endeavoring to procure the conviction of Robert S Lambard, was read & referred to the committee on the Judiciary. Sent up for concurrence.

Bill – concerning Lotteries and Lottery Tickets, was read a second time and tomorrow at 10 oclock assigned for a third reading.

A message was received from the Governor dated Feby 21st. 1826 communicating a memorial from the Attorney General [see appendix page 276] which in Senate was referred to Messrs Williams & Dunn with such as the House may join – The House concurred and Messrs Blaney of Bristol, Cobb of Durham & Chase of Kittery were joined.

Bill – additional to an act respecting pounds & impounding beasts going at large or damage feasant, was read a third time & passed to be engrossed. Sent up for concurrence.

Report on the petition of Nahum Smith & als came again from the Senate adhering to their former vote of 2nd inst. The House voted to adhere to their former vote of 7th inst accepting the report.

Bill – to set off Nahum Corson with his estate from Dearborn, & annex the same to the town of Waterville, was called up & referred to Messrs Boutelle of Waterville, Morrell of Dearborne & Page of Readfield.
