Bill – additional to the several acts now in force respecting Highways, came from the Senate with a proposition for a conference and appointing on their part Messrs Churchill, Parsons & Prime. The House accepted the proposition and appointed on their part Messrs Johnson of Belfast, Richardson of Jefferson & Crabtree of Falmouth.

Bill – imposing a duty on sales at Auction, came from the Senate with a proposition for a conference & appointing Messrs Churchill, Dunn & Parsons on their part. The House accepted the proposition and appointed Messrs Longfellow of Portland, McKown of Boothbay & Dunn of Poland

Report on the petition of S. & C. Merrill, referring the same to the next Legislature came from the Senate accepted for concurrence – and the House referred the report to Messrs White of Monmouth, Blaney of Bristol & Hodgman of Warren.

Bill – additional to provide for the sale and settlement of public lands, was amended in several of its provisions, read a third time & passed to be engrossed as thus amended. Sent up for concurrence.

Messrs Allen of Sedgwick & Johnson of Belfast have leave of absence after today.

The committee of Finance reported the following Bill and the report was accepted.
