Bill – authorizing a Lottery for improving the navigation of the Kennebec River, came from the Senate referred to the next Legislature for concurrence – and the House so far receded from their former votes on this Bill as to concur with the Senate

Ordered, that the Clerk of the House be made up on the pay Roll twenty days additional pay for completing the Journal and filing the papers after the close of the present session – read and passed.

The Conferees on the part of the House on the Bill – additional to the several acts in force respecting Highways, reported that the House “so far recede from their vote, whereby they refused to adopt the Bill as taken into a new draft, as to adopt the same with an amendment, as on sheet annexed marked P. – and the House refused to accept their report.

The Committee on engrossed Bills reported as duly engrossed Bill – additional to an act for the settlement of certain equitable claims arising in real actions - which was passed to be enacted. Sent up for concurrence.

The committee of Conference on the part of the House, reported that the House adhere to their former vote on the Resolve relating to the State Printing – and the House accepted the report.

Report on the petition of S & C. Merrill and Resolve in favor of Seward & Charles Merrill – came from the Senate that body adhering to their former votes accepting said report – The House also adhere to their former votes & appointed Messrs Humphrey of Gray, Weeks of Parsonsfield & Cumston of Scarboro'. as Conferees.
