Met according to adjournment.

An order came from the Senate for concurrence directing the Secretary of State to notify Daniel Wood, William Chadwick Jonathan Thayer, Joel Wellington, Samuel Whitney, Alanson Mellen & Amos Patten Esquires, that they have been duly elected by a joint ballot of both branches of the Legislature in Convention, Counsellors for the State of Maine, to advise the Governor in the executive part of the Government for the current political year, & to request their immediate attendance - and the House concurred.

An order came from the Senate for concurrence directing that no petition relating to private business shall be received unless presented on or before the twentieth day of the session of the present Legislature, and the House concurred

Thomas W Bridgham returned as a member from the town of Leeds, appeared, presented his credentials, was qualified and took his seat.

Communications were received from Samuel Whitney, William Chadwick, Joel Wellington, Daniel Wood, & Jonathan Thayer Esquires signifying their acceptance as Counsellors which were read & sent up.

A message was received from the Senate by Mr Hutchinson their Secretary proposing a convention of the two Houses in the Representatives Chamber, forthwith, for the purpose of qualifying such of the Counsellors elect, as have signified their acceptance - and the House concurred & the Clerk was requested to acquaint the Senate therewith.
