123. Resolve for opening and clearing a road from the South line of township number two old Indian purchase on the east side of Penobscot river to the Mattanawcock Stream, was read once and referred to Messrs Barnard of Alna, Bridgham of Leeds & Knowles of Hampden.

Resolve respecting the Report of the Prison Discipline Society - was read a second time & passed to be engrossed as amended on sheet annexed. Sent up for concurrence.

Bill - for the further protection of towns from fire - came from the Senate amended as in new draft for concurrence - and the House receded from their former votes so far as to concur with the Senate in passing the Bill to be engrossed as in said new draft.

Bill - to incorporate the Proprietors of Noridgewock Falls Bridge was read a 1st & 2nd time, amended at L, and tomorrow at 10 oclock assigned for a 3rd reading.

Bill to enlarge & extend the powers of the Proprietors of Somerset Bridge, was read a 1st & 2nd time & tomorrow at 10 oclock assigned for a 3rd reading.

Bill - an additional act for securing to owners their property in Logs, masts, spars[?] & other timber in certain cases, was read a 1st & 2nd time & tomorrow at 10 oclock assigned for a 3rd reading.

Bill - respecting Gun Houses, was read 1st & 2nd time & tomorrow at 10 oclock assigned for a 3rd reading.

Bill - additional to an Act to establish a Court of Common Pleas was read once & refused a passage in concurrence with the Senate.

Bill - to incorporate the Proprietors of Oldtown Bridge was read a 1st & 2nd time & tomorrow at 10 oclock assigned for a 3rd reading.
