(200) [Bill Agriculture & Manufactures] The Bill entitled " An act for the encouragement of Agriculture and manufactures" was read the second time and passed to be Engrossed. Sent down for concurrence. Concurred. [Bill. social, military and Law Libraries] A Bill from the House entitled " An act in addition to an act entitled an act to enable the Proprietors of Social, Military and Law Libraries to manage the same" reported in the House from the Joint standing Committee on Literature and Literary Institutions, came up, having passed to be Engrossed, for concurrence; it was read the first time and this afternoon at three o'clock was assigned for the second reading. [Bill directing the manner in which School District Meetings may be called] A bill from the House entitled "An act directing the manner in which School District Meetings may be called" reported in the House from the Joint standing Committee on Literature and Literary Institutions, came up, having passed to be engrossed, for concurrence: it was read the first time and, on motion, was ordered to lie on the table. [Pet. of D. Oakes] Mr. Hutchinson, from the Joint standing Committee on Claims, on the Petition of David Oakes, reported that the Petitioner have leave to withdraw his Petition. The report was read and accepted. Sent down for concurrence. [Order relative to receiving Petitions] The Senate took up the consideration of the order submitted by Mr. Hilton on the 23d day of February ult. " that no petition be received at this Board from and after Thursday next, during this session of the Legislature" and after amending the order by striking out the words "Thursday next" and inserting in lieu thereof the words "Monday the 8th days of March" passed the same as thus amended.
