On motion of Mr. Parks of Bangor Ordered that the Senate be requested to take from their files the Petition of Nathaniel Hoyt & others and send the same to this House - sent up.

Ordered that the Senate be requested to take from their files the Petition of Ephraim Batchelder & send the same to this House -

On motion of Mr. Williams of Augusta Ordered that so much of the Governors Message as relates to the Public Buildings be referred to a select Committee of the House consisting of Messrs. White of Monmouth, Deane of Ellsworth & Bradbury of Hollis with such as the Senate may join - sent up for concurrence

The order of yesterday directing the Secretary of the Senate & Clerk of the House to furnish the Senate, House & Council with one copy each of the 13th report of the Directors of the American Asylum &c came from the Senate for concurrence amended by striking out the word 13th & inserting in place thereof the word 14th - and the House receded from their former vote so far as to concur with the Senate in their amendment.

Ordered that Messrs. Davis of Bridgton, Hobson of Buxton & Miller of Waldoboro' be appointed a Committee with such as the Senate may join to contract with some suitable person to do the State printing the present year & that said Committee be instructed to receive sealed proposals from the several printers until the 17th day of January instant & then contract for the execution of all the printings for the State during the present year.
