Bill to abolish special pleading was read a 3d. time & passed to be Engrossed sent up for concurrence

The Committee on Engrossed Bills report as duly Engrossed

Bill additional act respecting the attachment of property on mesne process to incorporate the Portsmouth Company regulating cost in criminal prosecutions additional Act regulating the Fishery in Kennebec river near the Seven mile brook in the town of Vassalborough which were severally passed to be Enacted - and the question upon so passing the Bill last aforesaid was taken by yeas & nays as follows Yeas 72 Nays 28 - sent up for concurrence

Bill altering the Term of the Supreme Judicial Court in the Counties of Hancock & Washington laid on the table by Mr. Hamlin of Columbia was read 1 & 2 time & tomorrow at 10 o'clock assigned for a 3d. reading

Bill for the preservation of Lewiston North Turner and Stillwater Bridges came again from the Senate they adhering to their vote passing the Bill to be Engrossed and proposing a Conference - & the House adhere to their former votes - accept the proposed conference and appoint as Conferees on their part Messrs. Barnard of Alna (Herrick of Alfred & Davis of Bridgton

Bill additional to promote the sale & settlement of the Public Lands came from the Senate passed to be Engrossed as amended in new draft on sheet annexed marked B & the House so far recede from their former votes as to adopt the amendment of the Senate & pass the Bill to be Engrossed in concurrence
