next Legislature for concurrence

Resolve authorizing the Governor & Council to cause a gun house to be Erected in Bath came from the Senate referred to the next Legislature for concurrence and the House recede from their former vote on this subject & concur with the Senate

Ordered that the Committee on Finance be directed to assess the sum of Fifty one Thousand Eight Hundred and Fiftythree Dollars & Eightyfour cents on the polls & Estates in the several towns & plantations in this State as reported by the Committee on the State Valuation - and Mr. Stevens of Lincolnville moved to reconsider the vote whereby said order was passed and the question upon the reconsideration thereof was taken by yeas & nays as follows Yeas 45 Nays 72 (for yeas & nays see page 494)

Bill respecting Colleges came from the Senate passed to be Engrossed as amended on sheet annexed marked A for concurrence - and the House reconsider their former votes in relation to this Bill adopt the last amendment of the Senate & pass the Bill to be Engrossed as thus amended in concurrence

The committee on Engrossed Bills report as duly Engrossed Resolve in favor of the Maine Wesleyan Seminary in favor of Charles Morris in favor of Andrew McMillan respecting Eatons Bridge in the town of Plymouth authorizing the Land agent of this State in conjunction with the Land agent of Massachusetts to make winter roads through Public Lands - which were severally finally passed sent up for concurrence

And the House adjourned until Evening
