House is duly organized by the election of John Ruggles Speaker, and Thornton McGaw Clerk.

[Order concerning Messages between the two Houses.] On motion of Mr. Ingalls, ordered, that all messages between the two Houses of the Legislature be communicated by the Secretary of the Senate and Clerk of the House of Representatives, and that all papers be transmitted by them, or their assistants. Sent down for concurrence. concurred.

[Order concerning Adjournment.] Ordered, that until otherwise Ordered, the times to which the Senate will adjourn daily, be half past nine o'clock in the morning, and half past two in the afternoon, except on Saturday, when the adjournment shall be to the following Monday, at eleven o'clock in the forenoon.
