[Report of Comt to contract with person to draft Bills]

Mr Mace from the Committee to contract with some person to draft Bills and Resolves reported that they had contracted with James P. Vance at three Dollars and fifty cents per day. Read and accepted. Sent down for concurrence. Concurred

[Message to the H.R. proposing con to choose counsellors]

On motion by Mr Dennett a message was sent to the House of Representatives proposing a convention of both Houses of the Legislature in the Representatives Chamber this forenoon at 11 oclock for the purpose of choosing seven counsellors to advise the Governor in the Executive part of the Government the current political year. concurred

[order respecting choice of State printer] On motion of Mr Megquier Ordered that the Senate choose by ballot on their part a Printer to do the necessary printing for the State the current year and that three oclock this afternoon assigned for that purpose.

[Message to the H.R. respecting choice of Secretary of State.] On motion by Mr Cutler a message was sent to the House proposing to continue in Convention for the further purpose of electing a Secretary of State. concurred

[Order respecting Governors communication] On motion of Mr Megquier Ordered that so much of the communication made by the Governor to the Legislature with the accompanying documents as relates to the North Eastern Boundary of this state be referred to Messrs Megquier Williams and Hathaway with such as the House may join and that the committee be authorized to cause such the accompanying Documents to be published, as in their opinion the
